Firmware Update for HTC DROID Eris
Verizon has just announced that firmware update for HTC DROID Eris has been available. The update has ROM version to v1.16.605.1 and radio version to v2.32.40.11.09.
A small number of users may can get this update early while the rest will get it later as soon as possible in coming days.

· When the users on a call and his device is in screensaver mode so he can press End key to out from screensaver mode and press that key again to end call.
· The icon of speaker as well as on-call mute functionality have been improved
· Functionality of eliminating delay (when user activate it) when receive his first call has been improved
· The device has been switched from 1x mode to 3G
· The default email doesn’t have to be reselected again after power cycling
· SMS and MMS delivery also have been improved
· It allows up to 8 characters for MMS and SMS subject
· Image messaging functionality has been improved so LG phone’s message can be opened now.
