3.33GHz Xeon, 2TB Hard Drive are Added to Mac Pro

You may feel not satisfied with the previous 1TB hard drives and 2.93GHz Xeon processor in your Mac Pro. If so you probably are very pleased to read this. Apple has decided to add the more powerful features to Mac pro. It is 3.33GHz Xeon processor and 2TB Hard Drives.

The first, 3.33GHz Xeon processor will add $1,200 to the previous base price. The second, options of a 2TB SATA 3Gb/s 7,200rpm hard drive will give the additional $350. This hard drive currently is available on Apple’s Xserve server).

The users can add up to 4 of the hard drive. As for the processor, it can not be doubled due to the 8-core rigs still top out at 2.93Ghz.

Lenovo’s thin-and-light ThinkPad X100e is AMD Neo-based

Lenovo’s thin-and-light ThinkPad X100e also known as X200e. Previously we have known a few things about it but now the thing looks more clear. The previous speculation said that the device is a ThinkPad netbook, the entry ultraportable one. It means that the device is thin, light and small resembles a netbook and also said it has the netbook price. Now the info says that the speculation seems to be wrong.

It turns out Lenovo’s thin-and-light ThinkPad X100e is not a netbook. Further more it is said that the specs are an 11.6-inch, up to a 320GB hard drive, 1366 x 768 display, an AMD Athlon Neo processor, optional 3G and GPS, support for up to 4GB of RAM and a distinctly ThinkPad keyboard, trackpad and trackpoint.

Google’s Chrome OS will be Launched Soon?

Google Chrome OS seems to be launched next week. This thing had been heard since last month, which the rumor said that this month Google would launch its anticipated Chrome OS. Now, people have got the more reliable source saying that the software will be launched next week.
This news comes from TechCrunch.

Yes, it is true that this news still can not be confirmed. At least we know that the OS will not be available for every machine. Instead this OS (presumed in Alpha) will work only on certain machines, which Google has worked with. Among the machines is Eec PC netbook. This netbook has the same specs regardless its model number or design.

ASUS T91MT is the 1st Windows 7 convertible netbook. About 2 weeks ago this netbook was dropped by Amazon Germany website. This time this Taiwan company has reached US land. As for the Amazon customers, they get the same configuration with that of European such as 8.9-inch multitouch swivel screen, Intel Atom Z520, 1GB RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Only one color choice is available this time, the white color that equipped with 32GB SSD. That is twice as much as the German version but with the price is $200 cheaper. The battery life is 5 h.

LG and Samsung to Show Clear Display

An exhibition in Japan shows the Korean companies with their latest achievements. Samsung and LG show their liquids crystal screens such as transparent display. The screens are made from a kind of organic EL material. It seems similar to OLED with the difference. The OLED shows the black color and these ones using transparent color.

The OLED screen using opaque as cathode so the materials spectrums are visible (aluminum and calcium). As for the transparent display, cathode and anode are made from transparent materials.

Somedays ago we had heard about the Pine Trail nettop announcement. This next-gen atom product looks like not the only one. KND also had released some other products including nettops, netbooks and the hybrid of those two. All are displayed on their website. Above is the example of tiny images have been shown on the website.

If you would like to know the low end product, so take a look at the K116. It is an 11.6-inch netbook equipped with 1GB of RAM, an N450 processor and a 250GB hard disk as well.
KND also had planned their 2 nettops such as K185 (we talk on the first paragraph) and the K19W. K19W is featured with the 19-inch, 1440 x 900 screen, 2GB of RAM, dual-core Atom D510 processor plus a 250GB hard disk.
